This week meet Brie Richards, our vCIO Admin for Team Support.

How long have you been employed at Stronghold Data?

Almost 5 years.

Why did you join Stronghold Data?

I’ve been pretty close to several people at Stronghold Data for most of my life. I had been doing odd jobs for a bit – Customer Service Manager, Residential Psych Tech, and Sales Rep, just to name a few. Stronghold thought I could bring my skills learned from previous roles and apply them here and it has been a really great fit.

What is the most interesting or favorite part of your job?

Honestly, working with such a great team. There is nothing quite like seeing everyone pull their talents together to serve others and solve problems. The variety of challenges is also a lot of fun. There is plenty of things to tackle and learn from.

What are some cool projects you’ve seen our clients do with Stronghold Data’s services/products?

So many to choose from. The most rewarding are either when we are able to completely revamp how a client approaches their workload (like with their network and system setup) and are able to help them spend more time on what matters most to them – their work and not IT. When we help non-clients that have had emergency issues, to me that also shows how capable, adept, and committed to our community that our team truly is.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

I think it has to be the endless number of opportunities to learn and grow not only in my career, but as a person in general. I also truly love serving and working with others – so this job is a perfect opportunity and environment for that. Working with admirable people who also want to see others succeed.  I guess you could say I find a lot about my job rewarding.

When you think of Stronghold Data’ culture, what 3 words come to mind?

Of course, our standard ‘Hungry, Humble, Smart’ – but I would add, ‘Balanced, Grit, and Faith’.

Balanced – We have a variety of personalities and skills on our staff, this makes up for almost any gaps you could find within a team and helps us work great as a unit.

Grit – We’re determined to resolve client’s pain points and make their work-life easier for them. I’ve never seen so many brains fire up to resolve pain point for clients – our team truly desires to serve and step up to challenges. We’ll do what it takes.

Faith – Stronghold makes decisions based on doing what’s right for others. This is the root of cultivating and maintaining healthy relationships within our team and our clients. It helps us to courageously proceed through challenges and keep our can-do positive outlook.

What are your hobbies outside of Stronghold Data?

I dabble in various hobbies and I’m always trying new things because I have a real love for learning and trying new things. Recently I’ve been on a kayaking kick, revisiting childhood video games, and working on home projects with friends. I enjoy spending time with people as long as I can keep my social battery charged.

Tell us one interesting fact about yourself.

I have two different colored eyes.
